Welcome to Free Ride. We are a charitable bike workshop and membership programme based in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt, NZ. We are a volunteer organisation.

We provide a range of free services, subsidised bike services and paid services. Please see our event listings and opening hours.

This is a beginner level ride, distance is not too far and a great opportunity for new Ebike riders and those who may lack confidence to give it a go. This ride is mostly off the road utilising the Hutt Valley’s cycle trails. Tickets are free, but a booking is required.

Come and see us at the Orange Bike Day ! Ride your bike to the park and get a free safety check and fix up. This applies to small fixes only, anything beyond repair on the day will be referred to our workshop.

Free Ride @ Daly Street - Build Your Bike Skills

Come along for a bike check and some tips on building your bike skills. Have a go on our mini obstacle course and build up to the big pump track. Our Mechanics will be onsite for bike checks and small fixes along with some cycling trainers to help you on your way.
