Welcome to Free Ride. We are a charitable bike workshop and membership programme based in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt, NZ. We are a volunteer organisation.

We provide a range of free services, subsidised bike services and paid services. Please see our event listings and opening hours.

Want to feel more confident looking after your bike? Join us for our Beginner Bike Maintenance Course, a relaxed and practical two-week series designed to teach the basics. We recommend attending both sessions to build your skills but you can sign up separately for one or the other if you wish to.

Join us for a day of bike fun! Bring your bikes down to our Daly Street site at Te Tōpūnga Hapori i Daly Street. We'll have instructors on hand to give some bike riding tips, obstacle courses and of course the Pump track. Our Mechanics will be there to check bikes and do minor repairs.
