Welcome to Free Ride. We are a charitable bike workshop and membership programme based in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt, NZ. We are a volunteer organisation.

We provide a range of free services, subsidised bike services and paid services. Please see our event listings and opening hours.

Want to feel more confident looking after your bike? Join us for our Beginner Bike Maintenance Course, a relaxed and practical two-week series designed to teach the basics. We recommend attending both sessions to build your skills but you can sign up separately for one or the other if you wish to.

Join us for the Third event in our Three part Whānau Bike Skills Series. Bring the whānau along for a mystery ride from Daly Street. Our destination will include cupcakes, games and fun for all. The ride will be an easy distance, off road and on the flat, approx 5km each way.
